PHILOSOPHY

Our buildings and structures are remarkably adaptable to a variety of settings—rural, suburban, estate, town, country, costal, farm, and ranch.

Design is the cornerstone on which we define ourselves. History, tradition, materials, place, utility, and function inform each original building. Before we introduce a new model to the marketplace we go through an extensive exercise of research, sketches, models, prototypes and refinement to get the ideal balance of form, function, scale, proportion, materials, detail, and cost.

Craftsmanship stands at the helm of our team effort. Design alone does not make a building beautiful. The sum of what we do, from conception to completion, is an orchestrated exercise in talent and logistics. If it were easy others would be doing it. Instead, we’re quite literally the only company in the country doing what we do at the skill and scale we do. For clients there’s an obvious benefit in working with a company that focuses exclusively on small-scale architecture. It’s all we do. We don’t build fences, craft kitchen cabinets, or do house renovations and additions.
